On a rise in low-lying pasture. A report in 1976 (SMR file) recorded a low bank of earth and stone, extending in an arc from NW-N-SSE, with fragmentary traces of an external fosse. From SSE-S-NW it had been quarried away to provide material for the construction of a NW-SE roadway, which skirts it from SSW-W-WNW. The bank has since been levelled.
