What is recorded here

On a gentle SSE-facing slope. A raised subcircular area (c. 55m NNW-SSE; c. 52m ENE-WSW) enclosed by a much-denuded, low bank of earth and stone (Wth 1.3-5.1m; H 1.3m max.) with a poorly preserved, shallow external fosse (Wth 3.7m; D 0.4m). From SSE-S-WNW modern drystone-walling has been applied to both faces of the bank and the fosse has been largely infilled. From NW-N-NE there is a modern field boundary at the outer lip of the fosse. A break (Wth 2.3m) in the bank at SSE probably marks the original entrance. The interior is densely overgrown with scrub rendering inspection impossible. Compiled by: Patrick F.
