What is recorded here

Originally located on Inchcleraun Island. Described by Bigger (1900, 72) as 'another stone cross with a head carved upon it, [and] which had been removed to the mainland by a peasant to make a gate block'. Its present location is unknown. (Macalister 1949, Vol. 2, 29; English 1971, 148) Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan, Caimin O'Brien Date of upload: 6 June 2013

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
