Within the interior of a rath (LF021-027001-). This souterrain was discovered in the 1930s. A contemporary newspaper report (The Irish Press, 4 Nov 1933) recorded a series of chambers, passageways, creeps, steps and air vents and an overall plan resembling the letter H but with the bottom portion of one of the stems missing. An opening (Wth 1.2m; H 0.7m) to a passage remains visible but the passage, which is aligned NW-SE, is blocked c. 2.2m from the opening. The walls are of drystone construction splaying appreciable inwards. They support a roof of flat slabs.
