In rolling pasture. Depicted as a large, circular, tree-covered enclosure with the designation 'Fort' on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. A raised subcircular area (85.7m E-W; 80.4m N-S) enclosed by fragmentary remains of the basal portions of a drystone wall (Wth 3.65m; H 0.3m max.) with evidence of both internal and external wall-facing. Within the interior are a number of low, modern-looking, short, linear stretches of drystone walls. The monument is completely encircled by modern field boundaries.
