On a gentle NE-facing slope of a low ridge in pasture. Depicted as a circular enclosure with the designation 'Fort' on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. A report in 1986 (SMR file) noted that this slightly raised circular area (diam. c. 27m) was enclosed by a wide low bank of earth and stone and an external fosse. It has since been levelled and is defined by a broad, low scarp (H 0.2-0.3m). The original entrance is not recognisable.
