What is recorded here

A land grant of 1607 states that the King granted to Patrick Fox of Dublin the lands of ‘Termon-Ianaigh or Corby of Ballyroddy, containing a ruinous castle, 2½ cartrons; value, 6s 4d’ (Cal. pat. rolls Ire., Jas I, 115). The precise location of the castle has not been identified. Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien Date of upload: 26 September 2012

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
