On a gentle S-facing slope on rough ground within a plantation of coniferous trees. A buffer zone of between 10m and 15m has been left unplanted around the monument. A report in 1977 (SMR file) indicates that this raised oval area (c. 28m E–W; c. 22m N–S) was enclosed by a low bank of earth and stone. It is defined by a scarp (H 0.4m) and a wide shallow fosse (Wth 5m; D 0.2m). The original entrance is not recognisable. Within the interior at SSE is an irregularly shaped depression (max. dim. 8m; D 0.3m) of unknown significance.
