What is recorded here

On a low ridge in rough pasture. A raised oval area (diam. c. 32m NE–SW; c. 28m NW–SE) enclosed from W–NW–N by a partially reconstructed, low bank of earth and stone (Wth 4.4m; H 0.4m) and from N–NE–E by a scarp (H 0.7m). The enclosing element has been levelled from E–SE–S. From S–SW–W the bank has been rebuilt inside the line of its original circuit and a berm (Wth 2m)/scarp (H 0.7m) indicates its original line. A report in 1976 (SMR file) recorded the outline of an infilled external fosse, which is no longer identifiable. The original entrance is not recognisable. Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 23 November 2011
