A band of parallel, longitudinal roundwood and brushwood (exposed Wth 1.47m, T 0.32m) was exposed towards the top of an ENE drain face. No remains were visible on the field surface, the level of which was higher than the adjacent fields on either side. Five roundwoods (diam. 0.06-0.095m) were present and two or three pieces of brushwood (diam. 0.03-0.04m). Two possible split timber pegs, one with a worked end, were positioned WNW of the roundwood. A split timber transverse, aligned NW-SE, extended under the roundwood on this side. A rusty 6-inch nail recovered from under one of the roundwoods indicated that these remains probably formed part of the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (UCD) survey. (Dunne 1999, 51, 99DD0011A)
