What is recorded here

This substantial togher (L 5m; Wth 2.2m; D 0.3m), noted in 1988, was orientated NE-SW and consisted of longitudinal hazel and birch brushwood, occasional roundwood and a radially split-oak plank. Two pegs were encountered within the body of this material. A half-split birch log lay parallel to it, c. 1.7m to the NW. Radiocarbon dated to 1767-1614 BC (3395±35 BP, GrN-16847) (Raftery 1996, Derryoghil 16, 143-4).
