Early 18th-century, three-storey, gable-ended house. Access to the upper floor is via a dog-leg projecting staircase at the back (NW) of the house. This was the birthplace of Henry Essex Edgeworth, better known as Abbe Edgeworth de Fermont, who attended Louis XVI on the scaffold. (Bence-Jones 1978, 119)
