What is recorded here

In 1621, as part of the plantation of Longford, Lisagh Duffe Farrall was granted lands in 'Aghenteese and Ballehonlegan [Ballyhoolivan] 136a and a water-mill' (Cal. pat. rolls Ire., Jas I, 533). The precise location of the water mill has not been identified. Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien Date of upload: 7 February 2013

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
