A Presbyterian congregation settled in Corboy around 1675 and in 1697 John Mairs was appointed as the minister of the church (Killeen 1886, 104). No visible surface trace of the church survives. According to an information panel in the graveyard, the present 18th-century church was built on the site of an earlier wooden structure (Lennon 2005).
