Eighteen pieces of brushwood (diam. 0.02-0.06m) were widely spaced over a distance of 2m in a WSW drain face (exposed Wth 2m). There was no apparent pattern or structure and no visible evidence of woodworking. The majority were orientated E-W with three pieces orientated NW-SE. Two further pieces of brushwood (diam. 0.03m and 0.04m), located 2m to the S, were probably associated. The evidence suggested that this was likely to be the remains of a platform.
