On a SW-facing slope on low-lying ground. Depicted as a circular enclosure with the designation 'Fort' on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and as a subtriangular enclosure on the 1914 ed. The monument was levelled in 1974. However, its subtriangular plan (NW-SE c. 41m; E-W 40m) was indicated by the outline of the enclosing bank (Wth c. 2.5m). Traces of an intervening fosse and outer bank were evident at S.
