Human remains were discovered during quarrying operations in 1969. The remains, found over a number of days, were reburied at a depth of approx. 0.90m below ground level. No details are known of the number or disposition of the burials and there is no record of any associated artifacts or structural stones surrounding them. (Cahill and Sikora 2011, ii, 494-5)

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
