In pasture, on a SW-facing slope c. 15m to the NE of a stream. Described by O’Donovan in 1837 as a a 'well of great sanctity probably of Pagan origin' (OSL, 6). Farrell (1891, 266) recorded that this was 'the sacred well of Tober-reendonny’, or ‘the Well of the King of Sunday'. In 1944 it was noted that although it was 'still regarded as a holy well in the locality … it has few visitors nowadays' (ITA Survey). It has since been filled in.
