On a low rise in undulating pasture. A raised subcircular area ( 35m N-S; 33m E-W) enclosed by a low bank of earth and stone (Wth 4.3-5m; H 0.3-0.6m), an intervening fosse (Wth 5.7-5.8m; D 1.5m) and an outer bank (Wth 5.1-6m; H 0.9-1.6m). A break (Wth 4.5m) in the inner bank at ESE marks the original entrance. A report in 1975 (SMR file) recorded a wide, shallow depression of unknown significance inside the bank at N.
