On a shelf of level ground on a SW-facing slope. Adjacent at S is a spring well. A raised circular area (diam. c. 30m) defined from SE-S-NNW by a scarp (H 0.5-1.35m) and elsewhere defined by a modern drystone wall. At the base of the scarp at NNW is a shallow external fosse (Wth 3.8m; D 0.2m). The original entrance is not recognisable.
