In 1598 the 'Corbeship of Clonebrone was found to have a Hospital, Termon-Irenagh, or Corbeship endowed with eight cartrons of land' (Gwynn and Hadcock 1970, 347). The exact location of this 'hospital' is unknown but it probably stood in the vicinity of the 'convent of Clonebroney' (LF010-062001-) (ibid., 314).

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
