On a low rise in undulating pasture. A raised oval area (c. 49m NW-SE; c. 40.5m NE-SW) enclosed at N and from SE-SSE-S by a bank of earth and stone (Wth 4.8-5.5m; H 0.5-1.2m) and elsewhere defined by a scarp (H 1.5-2.15m). A report in 1975 (SMR file) recorded a shallow external fosse, which is no longer visible. The original entrance is not recognisable.
