On a shelf of level ground on a S-facing slope; the ground level falls away steeply to the W. A raised circular area (diam. 36m) enclosed by a substantial bank of earth and stone (Wth 3-5.5m; H 0.55-1.55m) with an external fosse (Wth 6.8m; D 0.4-1.4m), which is identifiable only at N. The original entrance is not recognisable.
