On a shelf of level ground on a SW-facing slope. A large, subcircular, raised area (c. 75m ENE-WSW; c. 60m NNW-SSE) enclosed from NW-N-SE by a bank of earth and stone (Wth 5.3-5.7m; H 0.45-1.5m) and elsewhere by a scarp (H 1.4-2.15m) with an external fosse (Wth 6.1m; D 1m)at ENE. From WSW-W the outline of this fosse is marked by a berm (Wth 4-5m). A report in 1988 (SMR file) recorded a low outer bank at S, which is no longer visible. The original entrance is not recognisable.
