What is recorded here

In level pasture. Depicted as a circular enclosure with the designation 'Fort' on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. A slightly raised circular area (diam. 26.5m) enclosed by a bank of earth and stone (Wth 8-9.5m; H 0.6-0.8m) from W-N-E. The S half has been destroyed and is not visible at ground level. A report in 1986 (SMR file) noted an external fosse and suggested that the original entrance may have been at NE. These features are no longer evident. Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 26 August 2011

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
