Located on fairly level land NE of Lough Errew. Archaeological monitoring (03E1761) over a wide area W and N of Lough Errew identified numerous archaeological features that could be preserved in situ, including this burnt mound. It is a spread of broken and heat-shattered stone (diam. 10m E-W; 9m N-S) with a spread of ash and charcoal in an arc to the E that was to be preserved in situ. (Read 2004, 14, No. 38)
