Situated at the bottom of a SE-facing slope with a slight rise to the E. Archaeological monitoring (03E1761) over a wide area W and N of Lough Errew identified numerous archaeological features that could be preserved in situ, including this spread of burn mound material. It consists of a circular spread of heat-shattered stone and charcoal enriched soil (diam. 10m N-S; 10m E-W). (Read 2004, 12, No. 21)
