Located in reeds c. 40m from the E shore of subcircular Mucklaghan Lough (dims c. 550m N-S; c. 400m E-W) and normally below water. This is a small area (diam. c. 10-15m) where timbers can be seen below the water. The prow and stern of a small modern boat (L 4.3m) with an iron chain and metal strips on the keel was also visible.
