What is recorded here

Located in pasture on a gentle W-facing slope, and c. 200m N of Headford House (LE032-031001-). A circular copse (diam. c. 25m), undoubtedly a tree-ring, is indicated only on the 1835 edition of the OS 6-inch map. It is not visible at ground level in pasture. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload/revision: 15 December 2011 Amended: 5 December 2019
