What is recorded here

Located on the lower NW-facing slope of a drumlin, with a small meandering N-S stream c. 40m to the W. This was described in 1991 (SMR file) a grass and rush-covered circular area (diam. 28.4m N-S; 27.5m E-W) defined by scarp (at S: Wth 4.8m; H 0.6m; at N: Wth 5.6m; H 1m). The original entrance is not identified, and it has been excluded from forestry since c. 2005 (OSAP). The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 23 September 2008 Amended: 5 December 2019
