What is recorded here

Located at the crest of the S-facing slope of a NE-SW drumlin ridge. This is an oval overgrown area (dims c. 55m E-W; c. 40m N-S) defined by an arc of a round-topped, overgrown, earthen bank (Wth 2.5m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.5m) with an external fosse (Wth of base 2m; D 0.3m) surviving N-E, but the perimeter cannot be traced elsewhere. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 23 September 2008
