Situated on a shelf towards the bottom of the NE-facing slope of Mong Hill. This is a grass and reed-covered circular platform (diam. 24.5m N-S; 23.5m E-W) defined by a grass-covered scarp (H 0.85-1m), with an external fosse (Wth 2.9m; D 0.2m) NW-N. The original entrance is not identified. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003).
