What is recorded here

Located on a N-facing slope. This is a grass-covered circular area (int. diam. 33.5m E-W; 31m N-S) defined by an earth and stone bank, best preserved at NW (Wth 7m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.25m), and an external fosse (Wth of base 3.5m; D 0.45m) W-N. Outer revetting is visible on the bank at W (L 12m) where there is an entrance (Wth 1.8m) which is not original. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 23 September 2008
