What is recorded here

Situated at the crest of the NE-facing slope of a drumlin. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims 33m N-S; 26.5m E-W; int. dims 28m N-S; 23.8m E-W), planted with deciduous trees, defined by an earthen bank (Wth 5-7m; int. H 0.3m at E to 0.8m at S; ext. H 1.8-2.4m) and flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of base 2.5-4.4m; ext. D 0.5-1.4m) which are separated by a berm (Wth 2.3m at W to 5m at N) from an external bank (Wth 3.7-4.2m; int. H 0.2-0.6m; ext. H 1.3-1.5m) and an outer fosse, largely recut as a drain (Wth 2m; D 0.7m; ext. D 0.2-0.7m). There are entrances through the inner (Wth 3.2m) and outer (Wth 2.6m) banks at SE, with a causeway (Wth 3.8m) over the inner fosse (max. ext. dims 68.5m N-S; 64m E-W).
