What is recorded here

Located in a slight fold c. 60m from the N shore of a small rectangular bay (dims c. 270m N-S; c. 130-200m E-W) on the N side of Garadice Lough, and c. 150m ENE of Garadice House (LE025-051---). This is a grass-covered subcircular sunken area (int. dims 21m N-S; 18m E-W) defined by a broad bank or scarp (Wth 7-10m; int. H 0.7-1.3m) which is flush with the ground outside and planted with four mature deciduous trees. An entrance is not identified, and it might be a tree-ring. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 23 September 2008
