What is recorded here

Located towards the bottom of the SE-facing slope of a drumlin. This is a grass-covered circular area (diam. 20m NW-SE; 18m NE-SW) defined by a slight bank (Wth 3m at E; 5m at W) at E and W, a scarp down to the centre at N (upslope) and an external scarp (H 0.6m) at SE. There is no visible fosse or entrance but probably is a rath. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 23 September 2008

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
