Situated on a slight shelf of rock outcrop (H c. 2m) that is depicted by hachures NW-SE (C c. 40m)only on the revised 1944 edition of the OS 6-inch map. A stone with a rectangular cross-section (dim. 1.5m x 0.7m; H 1.25m) is oriented E-W, but may be natural. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003).
