What is recorded here

located on a rise in an undulating, low-lying landscape with rock outcrop and c. 100m from the SW shore of Lough Reane. This is a grass-covered oval area (dims 45m E-W; 37m N-S) defined by a low, earth and stone bank (at S: Wth 4.5m; H 0.2m at S) that is overgrown W-N. There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance, and the monument is overlain by an E-W field bank towards the perimeter at S. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 23 September 2008

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
