A small island (diam. c. 10m) is marked on the 1835 edition of the OS 6-inch map about 10m from the N shore of the sub-triangular Corrachoosaun Lough (dims c. 600m E-W; c. 400m N-S) which has the apex at S. The lake is now reduced in size (dims c. 520m E-W; c. 400m N-S) but no feature is visible on the shore.
