Marked only on the 1914 edition of the Roscommon OS 6-inch map (RO002A) where it is described in italic lettering as a 'Mound', and situated in blanket bog on the summit of a NW-SE mountain ridge bordering counties Leitrim and Roscommon. It is not visible at ground level, and was undoubtedly a boundary mound set up by the Ordinance Survey. It is the same as (RO002A-001----).
