Situated on the N shore of Spencer Harbour at the W side of Lough Allen. A brick chimney has a square base (dims 2.4m x 2.4m; H c. 20m) with four furnace inlets and survives from the 19th-century iron industry together with the remains of a house c. 40m to the E. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003).
