What is recorded here

A bridge is marked on the Down Survey (1656-8) county and barony map of Drumahaire on the east side of Lough Allen close to the lake, probably on the lower reaches of the Yellow River between Fahy or Corglass on the north side and Cleighran Beg and Drumristin townlands on the south. Its precise location is not known. For the Down Survey maps see this web-page accessed on 7 October, 2016 http://downsurvey.tcd.ie/down-survey-maps.php Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 7 October, 2016

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows only the centre of the wider government map area. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
