What is recorded here

Located at the summit of a drumlin. This is a grass and rush-covered D-shaped area (dims 30m N-S; 29m E-W) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 4-5m; int. H 0.3-0.7m; ext. H 0.6-1.1m), with traces of internal stone facing at SE. The bank has been removed SSW-WSW. The entrance (Wth 2m) is at E but there is no visible fosse. The monument is slightly truncated by a NE-SW field bank and drain at N. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 23 September 2008

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
