What is recorded here

Located on a slight rise at the N end of a NNW-SSE drumlin ridge. This is a grass and rush-covered circular area (diam. 24m) defined by the intermittently visible facing-stones of an overgrown wall (Wth 1.2-1.3m) built on a slight scarp (H 0.5m). The entrance (Wth 0.9m) is at SSE. There are clearance cairns (diam. 5m; H. 0.3m) on the perimeter and at the centre. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 23 September 2008
