What is recorded here

Located towards the bottom of a W-facing slope. This is a subcircular grass and rush-covered area (int. dims. 26.2m E-W; 21.3m N-S) defined by an overgrown stone spread (Wth 2-3.5m; max. int. H 0.7m; max. ext. H 1.2m) W-N-SE with an earth and stone bank (Wth 3.5m; ext. H 0.8m) elsewhere. Facing-stones are intermittently visible, but the original entrance is not identified. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 23 September 2008
