What is recorded here

Indicated as a circular embanked enclosure (diam. c. 35m) described as a fort on the 1835 ed. and as a hachured feature on the 1945 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. It is located towards the top of the S-facing slope of a low hill on the floor of the NE-SW Bonet River valley. It is not visible at ground level, although it may survive in an area of dense scrub. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of revision: 18 April, 2016

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
