Situated on a drumlin close to the junction of the N-S River Bonet which is c. 100m to the NW and the E-W Owenmore River, which is c. 1200m to the S. Grass-covered subcircular area (int. dims 21m NE-SW; 19.5m NW-SE) defined by a low earthen bank (Wth 2m; H 0.2-0.5m) containing some large stones (dims c. 0.7m x 0.5m x 0.5m). An entrance (Wth 4.8m) at E might not be original, and there is no visible fosse. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J.
