Located in a fold on a broad plateau that slopes down gently to the SE. An area of c. 6ha (c. 27 acres) of exposed karst and grass contains about 30 structures. It was first discovered and recorded by L. McConville in 1998. Eight of the structures are circular (int. diam. 2.5-7.5m) defined by grass-covered stone spreads (Wth 1-2m) and these are probably prehistoric in date. The other structures are largely post-medieval rectangular booley huts (int. dims c. 3-4m x 1.5-2m) and are generally aligned NW-SE, across the contours of the slope.
