In pasture in a low-lying position on the floor of Glenaniff valley. A ringfort in Lissaniska was described c. 1942 as a D-shaped area (dim. c. 25m) defined by an earthen bank (H c. 1m) and backing on to a stream on the E side (SMR file). Its exact position is not known.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J. Moore (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2003). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
