Indicated as a well on the 1835 and 1907 eds of the OS 6-inch map but described as 'Shavers Well' in italic lettering on the latter. Situated c. 50m S of the foreshore of Donegal Bay. A rectangular drystone built well (dims 0.35m x 0.35m; D 0.75m) is covered by a limestone slab and open to the N where it connects with a stream. It is built into the N side of a cairn (diam. 8m; H 1.25m) and there is a modern shrine adjacent.
